Henry Wamwayi
Henry Wamwayi, a Kenyan, is the Project Coordinator for the Livestock Emergency Interventions to mitigate the food crisis in Somalia (LEISOM) project. His work entails coordination of the implementation of the LEISOM project through development of appropriate working procedures with the different project implementing partners and beneficiary institutions, provision of advice and technical back-stopping, harmonization of activities and approaches, and monitoring of project implementation. Henry joined AU-IBAR in 2009. Before that, he has worked for the last twenty five years at the Kenya Agricultural Research Institute in different capacities and more recently, in the NGO sector. Henry earned his bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine from University of Nairobi while his masters and doctorate are from the University of Surrey and University of Hertfordshire in the UK.
