AU/IBAR invites proposals to review and document the sanitary standards for live animal trade between Somalia and key trading partners from interested consultants.
The Somali Livestock Certification Project (SOLICEP) aims to improve the export performance of the livestock sub-sector in Somalia and Somali ecosystem though enhanced live animal health certification that promotes OIE/WTO/SPS standards.
The development of an animal health certification model that promotes the OIE/WTO/SPS standards for live animal export trade and which is acceptable to both importing and exporting countries would require, among other inputs, information on the current live animal health certification practices in the three administrative areas of Somalia (Puntland, Somaliland and Central/South Somalia) and the sanitary requirements by trading partners.
