Trainer of veterinarians on risk assessment and risk based surveillance programming
AU-IBAR seeks a Trainer to develop and administer a training course for veterinarians from SPINAP supported countries on risk assessment and risk based surveillance programming for avian and human influenza, other TADs and zoonoses. The course should inculcate knowledge and skills on basic tools and techniques on risk assessment, and the design of risk based surveillance systems.

TERMS OF REFERENCE

Training in wildlife surveillance, capture and sampling techniques
AU-IBAR intends to conduct Training on wildlife capture and sampling techniques for disease surveillance under the SPINAP-AHI project. The training targets 94 participants from 47 SPINAP-supported African Caribbean Pacific (ACP) countries and will be conducted in Eastern, Ssouthern and Western African regions.

AU-IBAR seeks a Laboratory expert on a short-term basis to strengthen epidemiological surveillance capacity in the Somali ecosystem and thereby improve the early warning and response and particularly to train / refresh laboratory personnel in conventional and molecular techniques applied to Rinderpest and related viruses such as PPR, FMD, BVDV and also to RVF.

AU-IBAR seeks a Lab equipment maintenance expert on a short-term basis to strengthen epidemiological surveillance capacity in the Somali ecosystem and thereby improve the early warning and response and particularly to calibrate and maintain laboratory’s equipment as well as train on the preventive maintenance of such equipment.
