National Capacity Building Workshop on Animal Genetic Resources Data Collection and Management

The primary objective of the stakeholder technical workshop is to understand the current data collection and management practices in Uganda and come up a framework and formats to support data collection with a view to address existing gaps. This will be achieved through:

• Assessment of existing data collection strategies, methodologies, formats, templates and tools in order to identify the gaps on Uganda Livestock data
• Developing/customising data collection methodologies, templates, tools to address identified gaps on Uganda Livestock Data
• Draft a field sampling plan for the data collection exercise
• Reviewing the Draft Data Collection and Management Strategy
