Second Annual Session of the Continental PPR Advisory Group, High-Level Financing and Investment Dialogue and Press Conference, Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, 16–17 November 2026

The second Continental PPR Advisory Group (CAG) session, scheduled for 16-17 November 2026 in Abidjan, will review progress towards PPR eradication by 2030 and guide implementation for 2027 and the PPR1–PPR2 transition. Building on the inaugural December 2025 meeting, it will assess delivery against agreed commitments, mid-year corrective actions and available Mid-Term Evaluation recommendations.

The session will focus on three workstreams:

• Annual review: Assess 2026 results, governance and coordination performance, and validate findings, lessons and recommendations.
• Annual planning: Endorse achievable, costed 2027 priorities with clear responsibilities, milestones and evidence requirements, alongside PPR1–PPR2 transition actions.
• Political and financing engagement: Strengthen ministerial leadership, regional ownership and domestic financing; present the continental investment case; and agree concrete follow-up actions.

Abidjan offers an opportunity to engage the host country, ECOWAS and the African Development Bank in investment discussions and coordinated communication of approved decisions.
