National Capacity Building Workshop on Data Collection and Management of Animal Genetic Resources

The primary objective of the stakeholder technical workshop is to understand the current datacollection and management practices in Nigeria and come up a framework and formats to support data collection with a view to address existing gaps. This will be achieved through:

1. Assessment of existing data collection strategies, methodologies, formats, templates and tools in order to identify the gaps on Nigeria Livestock data
2. Developing/customising data collection methodologies, templates, tools to address identified gaps on Nigeria Livestock Data
3. Developing a plan for the Nigeria data collection and management exercise to address the existing data gaps in DAD-IS
4. Discussing the development of a Data Collection and Management Strategy for Nigeria Time
