At AU-IBAR, we are dedicated to promoting gender equity and empowering women in the management of animal resources across Africa. Our initiatives focus on strengthening animal resources networks and enhancing capacity for sustainable service delivery, with a specific emphasis on mainstreaming gender considerations.
Our Efforts:
Empowering Women: We recognize the invaluable contribution of women to the animal resources sector and are committed to empowering them to take on leadership roles. By providing opportunities for skill development and leadership training, we aim to amplify women's voices and leadership within the domain.
Policy and Strategy Integration: Gender perspectives must be integrated into policies and strategies to ensure inclusive approaches that address the specific needs and contributions of women. Through advocacy and policy dialogue, we strive to create an enabling environment that fosters gender equity and inclusivity in animal resources development.
