The African Union Inter-African Bureau for Animal Resources (AU-IBAR) operates as a specialized technical office within the Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Blue Economy, and Sustainable Environment (DARBE) of the African Union Commission (AUC). Charged with the advancement of animal resources development, AU-IBAR is at the forefront of implementing proactive measures to revitalize the animal resources sector. This encompasses livestock, fisheries, wildlife, and beekeeping, addressing pressing challenges stemming from increased demand for animals and their products.
