The Fisheries and Aquaculture Database is a new initiative aimed at revolutionizing data management and decision-making in the fisheries and aquaculture sectors across Africa.

AFADATA represents a collaborative effort between the African Union Inter-African Bureau for Animal Resources (AU-IBAR) and the African Union Development Agency-NEPAD (AUDA-NEPAD), with support from the European Union. This comprehensive database serves as a centralized repository for capture fisheries and aquaculture-related data, fostering enhanced data collection, analysis, and dissemination.
