Overview

Makerere University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Resources and Biosecurity (CoVAB) is a leading Ugandan higher education and research institution focused on veterinary medicine, animal resources, biosecurity, biotechnology and laboratory sciences. Based in Kampala, the College supports teaching, research and community service aimed at improving animal health, livestock productivity, public health, food safety and biosecurity. Its work contributes to national and regional capacity in veterinary services, sustainable animal resource development, disease prevention and One Health-related research and innovation.
