10th Africa Animal Welfare Conference 2026

The 10th Africa Animal Welfare Conference 2026, co-hosted by the African Union - Inter African Bureau for Animal Resources (AU-IBAR), Working Animals International and Africa Network for Animal Welfare (ANAW), with the support of the Government of Zambia,  will be held in Lusaka, Zambia, from 5th to 7th October 2026.

This landmark animal welfare conference will convene policymakers, animal welfare advocates, researchers, development partners and other stakeholders from across Africa under the theme:
“Dialogue to Action - Collaborative Implementation for Animal Welfare, Climate and Sustainable Development in Africa.”

The conference will provide a platform for meaningful dialogue, knowledge sharing and collaboration aimed at advancing animal welfare, climate resilience and sustainable development across the continent.
