The operations of the Somali PACE Component are governed by the overall PACE objectiveaimed at relieving the poverty of those involved in the livestock-farming sector (producers,service providers and consumers) in Africa by improving animal productivity, trade and foodsecurity. In Somalia, this entails strengthening of the capacities of livestock owners, traders,public institutions and private sector animal health workers to cooperate for effective deliveryof services to improve animal health in order to enhance trade in livestock and livestockproducts.
