AU-IBAR 2025 Annual Report
The AU-IBAR 2025 Annual Report highlights measurable progress across animal health, livestock, fisheries, and trade. Key achievements include support to 15 countries on PPR eradication strategies, assessment of 30 countries toward the 2030 target, and the rollout of the African Union Digital One Health Platform to strengthen data sharing and coordination.
Over USD 20 million was mobilised for feed and fodder systems, with six countries adopting data-driven livestock planning. In fisheries, 28 countries aligned policies with continental frameworks, and 723 individuals were trained in governance and biodiversity conservation. AU-IBAR also advanced 62 African positions in global standards, strengthening the continent’s voice internationally.
Aligned with major continental and global frameworks such as Agenda 2063 and the Blue Economy Strategy, these efforts contribute to improved food security, livelihoods, animal and public health, and the competitiveness of Africa’s animal resources sector.
